New important pieces of information for users & software developers that want to use MPB in new ways or with new software:
  • Photographic information:
Walter Johnson has prepared a set of tutorials & documentation on using Multipoint builder with Photographic nodes. This helps answer some of the questions of mapping out node locations when the original sites were not created in a virtual perfectly mathematical universe.
  • Creating location resources in QTVR & Panoramic PICT files.
Review Technical Specs for a description of the Multipoint resource record & sample code for adding camera information to your PICT & QTVR nodes.

Several fixes and improvements to this version include:
  • Hot spot fix
The first release setup the rectangles for bounding boxes incorrectly, and the hotspots were not first active until the mouse was moved into the upper margin of the movie. The hotspots now extend from the bottom of the screen to the top.
  • Select different final movie sizes
  • Pick any node for starting node
  • Progress indication during scene building
